Ensure Full DVS Compliance with Expert Mobile Fitting Services Across the UK
Commercial vehicle operators face increasingly stringent safety regulations, making Direct Vision Standard (DVS) compliance essential for legal operation within London’s transport network. Our specialist DVS suppliers and fitters service provides the expertise and convenience that fleet managers and owner operators require to meet these critical regulatory standards whilst maintaining operational efficiency.
The Direct Vision Standard represents a fundamental shift in commercial vehicle safety requirements, particularly affecting Heavy Goods Vehicles operating within the M25. Non-compliance carries significant financial penalties of £550 per incident, making professional DVS2024 PSS (Progressive Safe System) installation a business-critical investment rather than an optional upgrade. Our certified technicians understand the technical specifications required for both DVS camera systems and Progressive Safe System (PSS) installations, ensuring your vehicles meet all current Transport for London requirements.
What distinguishes our DVS fitting service is the convenience of professional mobile installation across the entire UK. Rather than losing valuable operational time travelling to workshops, our qualified fitters bring specialist equipment and expertise directly to your depot, yard, or preferred location. This nationwide mobile service eliminates downtime whilst ensuring your commercial vehicles receive the precise technical installation required for regulatory compliance and HGV Safety Permit eligibility.
Our DVS camera systems incorporate the latest safety technology, including left side monitoring cameras, in cab display units, and audible warning systems that enhance driver awareness whilst meeting strict compliance standards. The Progressive Safe System installations feature advanced sensor coverage and moving off information systems (MOIS) that provide additional protection for vulnerable road users. Each installation undergoes rigorous testing to ensure optimal performance and long-term reliability in demanding commercial environments. You can choose from either AI camera technology or radar for the best suited to your requirements.
The investment in professional DVS2024 PSS (Progressive Safe System) compliance delivers measurable returns through reduced insurance risks, enhanced safety performance, and protection against regulatory penalties. Our experienced team provides ongoing technical support and compliance guidance, ensuring your fleet maintains its operational licence whilst contributing to improved road safety standards across London’s transport network.

To improve the safety of all road users, HGVs rated below three stars will need to install the Progressive Safe System, from October 2024.
AVR Mobile Fitters can come to you to fit all the necessary equipment to achieve the required star rating.
Improving indirect vision:
Camera Monitoring Systems (CMS)Â guidance will be updated to allow use of both systems. This will give the driver a wider field of vision and reduce the cognitive workload.
CMSÂ fitted on vehicles must eliminate any remaining blind spots. This provides a visual alert of an approaching vulnerable road user and prevents collisions in the blind spot area.
Sensors must ensure full coverage down the nearside of rigid vehicles to detect vulnerable road users. They must not activate in relation to roadside furniture or stationary vehicles. This aims to prevent left turn collisions. For articulated trailers, sensors must be fitted to the front tractor unit but are recommended for the trailer where possible.
Moving Off Information Systems (MOIS)Â sensors must be fitted to the front of a vehicle to prevent collisions at the frontal blind spot zone when a vehicle moves off from rest.
Warning vulnerable road users of intended manoeuvres:
Audio warnings must be fitted to all vehicles, including those with left-hand drive to ensure all vehicles have the ability to warn of an intended manoeuvre.
Warning signage requirements remain unchanged.
Minimising physical impact of a hazard:
Sideguard requirements remain unchanged.
