Hook Locks are an independent extra lock in addition to the manufacturers factory fitted locks to offer an extra level of van security and a deterrent from would be thieves.

The Hook Locks are the next generation of van security Deadlocks that work in the same way as dead locks but with added protection against the door being bent open due to the hook style bolt which hooks into a receiving bracket as opposed to a straight dead bolt like the Dead Lock style lock.

Hook locks are a mechanical form of van lock security fitted in addition to your factory fitted locks which are fitted onto the van doors body panels and are manually locked with a specific key of high security. Each Hook Lock is designed specific for each make and model of vehicle door/s and designed to go into a specific position for optimum van security from would be thieves.

The locks are well known to thieves and are both a visual deterrent and break in prevention.

CARING FOR YOUR LOCKS

Van Security Locks After Care Kit | FREE with every order

A gift, from AVR Mobile Fitters.

To help prolong the life of your van locks, and maintain your warranty, we have provided a free can of water-based lubricant with PTFE to help you look after and maintain your locks, we just need you to follow the simple steps below.

Your pack includes
1. Lubricant spray can – Water based with PTFE

Follow these steps to keep your warranty valid
1. Lubricate your locks with a PTFE base spray monthly.
2. During adverse weather, or high usage, you must lubricate the locks frequently.
3. If the key /lock become stiffer, or difficult to use, then they are not being lubricated enough.

How to lubricate
1. Shake the can vigorously to ensure the contents are mixed.
2. Insert the nozzle/straw into the key-way and apply sufficient spray in short bursts.
3. Run the key in and out of the lock several times.
4. Use more spray if required.
5. Repeat running the key in and out of the lock.
6. Remove any residue from the key and lock face.
7. Assess the operation of the lock.
8. Clean the area using the cloth supplied.
9. Repeat the above until the lock is no longer stiff.

Failure to regularly lubricate and maintain your locks may result in invalidating your warranty.
Keys that show signs of wear immediately, snapped and/or damaged keys are not covered under warranty.

WARRANTY

Van Security Locks Warranty | AVR Mobile Fitters

Your van locks will come with a 3-year parts warranty as a sign of the quality and faith we have in the calibre of locks we use.

You also benefit from a 1 year call out warranty for the labour on your locks for any warranty issue.

As part of keeping your warranty valid you must maintain and look after your lock as per the manufacturer guidelines listed below.

To maintain your warranty, please refer to the information in the ‘caring for your locks’ tab on this product page.
Your lock comes with 3 years parts warranty, and 1 year labour warranty.

Failure to regularly lubricate (water based, never oil based) and maintain your locks may result in invalidating your warranty.

We recommend that you replace keys that show signs of wear immediately, snapped and/or damaged keys are not covered under warranty.

Delivery and Fitting

DELIVERY

We offer FREE DELIVERY on all orders – to the United Kingdom only.

When you order online from us, we aim to process all orders within 24 hours Monday – Friday. Please allow up to 3 working days for delivery. We will use a tracked delivery service to deliver your product and it may require a signature. Please note some items may be shipped directly from the manufacturer.

INSTALLATION

If we are coming to install your product for you, it will be delivered to you before your installation date, unless you have purchased van locks, which our fitter will bring with them. Please let us know 48 hours (Monday to Friday 09.00-17.30) prior to your installation if your products have not yet arrived.

RETURNS

If you wish to return an item to us, please call us on 01923 200930 for a return authorisation code. The item must be sent within 14 days of receipt to the address below with the return code clearly marked on the package:
