Privacy Policy
avrmobiles.co.uk is committed to protecting the privacy of our users while providing the highest possible quality of service. We will only use the information that we collect about you lawfully (in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998) and will not forward your details onto a third party.

avrmobiles.co.uk makes every effort to ensure that the information published on this website is accurate. All product information is provided by the manufacturer, therefore we cannot accept any liability for the accuracy or content.



Complaints & Disputes
If you have a complaint regarding any aspect of our products or service you may contact Customer Services on 0845 230 4051 (standard call charges apply) between 9am and 6pm, Mon-Fri, at all other times a 24 hour message service is provided. Or you can email customerservices@avrmobiles.co.uk.  We endeavour to respond to all complaints within five working days.



Industrial Action

Although very rare these days, there are times when we are affected by either local or national strikes. As these events are out of our control, we cannot accept any liability for any delays, losses or problems caused by Industrial Action.

If you are the copyright owner and we have failed to credit you or you are unhappy with our use of your copyright then please contact us and we will make amends immediately.

These Terms & Conditions do not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.


Car Kit Installation Terms & Conditions

Service calls / warranties
www.avrmobiles.co.uk Limited car kits come with a lifetime warranty covering the installation, and a year’s free of charge warranty on all parts, and labour as per manufacturers.
If a service call is required and upon appointment it is the phone/car/user error/wear and tear or any other part not covered by the manufacturers warranty that is at fault, then a call out fee (£55 + VAT) would be charged, and possible parts may need to be purchased to resolve the fault.
Moving of parts for any other reason than installation error is not covered under the warranty.
The following are not covered under warranty: user error, misuse, damage, faulty/change of handset, kit moved to different car, wear & tear, adjustment by anyone other than our installer, software updates, or anything otherwise deemed outside of the manufacturer’s warranty.
In the event of a service call we may need to send new parts direct to you for replacement. Once the service call has been completed we require you to send back any faulty/unused parts within 7 days of completion. These need to be sent back via insured post to the address below. We are not liable for the parts in transit. Any parts not returned within 7 days are charged to the payment method we have for your order.
Software updates are sometimes released by manufacturer’s. It is not a free service or warranty service so is chargeable if required.
Any work carried out, or not approved by www.avrmobiles.co.uk Limited is not covered, and we are not liable for payment.

Cancellations
In the event that an appointment needed to be cancelled we require more than 24 hours notice (Mon – Fri) if this is not given then a cancellation fee will be charged. If we are given incorrect details for a booking, and we are unable to locate the address, then a cancellation fee may be charged. If you wish to change the installation address we required more than 24 hours notice (Mon – Fri) if this is not given then a cancellation fee will be charged. If the equipment is not on site when we arrive, and we have not been informed of the non arrival/misplacement or any other reason for this then a cancellation fee will be charged.
If an installation is cancelled and the customer requires a refund, then the delivery charge is not refunded. All parts are to be returned by the customer via an insured delivery method. Car specific parts may not be able to be refunded in full.
If an installation engineer is left waiting on arrival, then he may need to automatically leave to ensure all other customers appointments are not affected. Our installer will allow 20 minutes for the customer and equipment to be made available. If this happens then a call out fee will be charged.
Our cancellation/call out fee/service call fee is set at £55 + VAT

Payment
www.avrmobiles.co.uk Limited take special care on every order and payment details placed with us. To ensure no fraud takes place we perform certain security checks to protect our customers, and to reduce credit card fraud.
All goods remain the property of www.avrmobiles.co.uk Limited until paid in full.
All service calls / cancellation fees / non returned parts will automatically be billed to your existing payment method. If any credit card payments are unlawfully clawed back from the credit card company then we reserve the right to charge an administration fee of £50.

Compensation
www.avrmobiles.co.uk Limited is committed to providing the best possible service in the industry, and we have been doing this since 1996. We use the best installers in the industry. If our engineer or delivery is delayed due to reasons out of our control we are in no way liable or obliged to provide compensation. Any suspected damage to the vehicle during an installation must be demonstrated, proven and agreed with the engineer before he leaves site. If in the rare case damage has been made, then our installers are all fully insured for such instances, as our installers are self employed any damage must be claimed and paid direct with the installer. www.avrmobiles.co.uk Limited are not liable for such cases.

Delivery of parts to be installed
Our car kits are sold subject to a £4.99 delivery charge.
This equipment will then be sent direct to the installation address/address provided before the day of installation. If no specific delivery address is provided, then the equipment will always be sent direct to the installation address. It is the customers responsibility to ensure these goods arrive on time, and to inform us of any delivery problems/missed deliveries/non deliveries or lost deliveries more than 24 hours before installation. If we are not informed before the installation date, or the installer arrives on site, then a call out fee/cancellation fee will be charged. All good are sent via Royal Mail special delivery, or courier delivery. Both methods require a signature, and both methods leave a card with contact details on if no one is available to sign for delivery. Our courier will attempt to deliver the parcel twice; if after the second attempt the item is unable to be collected and the customer requires a third delivery attempt, then a third delivery charge of £3.50 will apply. If no contact is made with the courier after the second delivery attempt and the parcel is returned back to us, then a charge of £20 will apply for the cost of the parcel being returned to us and the cost of re-delivering the parcel to the customer.

Any prices quoted may be subject to change if additional parts or labour are required.

Price match
www.avrmobiles.co.uk Limited are committed to offering the best service and prices in the industry. On the rare occasion that you find a quote lower than us we would suggest you make sure this quote is not hiding anything that may be charged later. We are happy to check any lower quotes, and if they are like for like we will beat or match this price for you.

Bluetooth
Our installers will always try to help set up your Bluetooth car kit, and Bluetooth phone for you. Our installers may not always be able to do this, and may not be familiar with certain phones on the market. If this is the case the installer will test his personal phone with the car kit. Any PDA devices, and Sat nav software would require the customer to set this up. We are liable for the installation and car kit, but not compatibility issues. Our sales team will always advise of any possible phone issues with certain car kits when we are aware of these. No refund is available for phone/devise compatibility problems. Our sales team and website will always offer the best advice in the industry. Please ask our installer for your manual before he completes the job.

Audio lead
Although we can always supply the correct lead for the correct car and year we can not always guarantee if the car has the correct wiring behind the dashboard. If this is the case, or we have been misadvised by the customer as to the cars set up, then we may not be able to use this lead, we would then need to install a dedicated speaker. We would not be liable for a full refund if this was the case, and if you wish to cancel the job a cancellation fee would apply, along with our terms and conditions for returns/cancellation.

Installations
Our team take care when an order is placed to ensure that all parts are correct. It is essential that the customer provides us with correct and accurate information regarding the phone make, model, car make, model, year of reg, stereo information, sat nav information, and any other information that would be relevant. Any wrong information may result in a call out fee/cancellation being charged. The customer, phone, car and car kit equipment need to be available at the location, and time agreed otherwise a call out fee may be charged. Our booking slot is as accurate a time as can possibly be provided in an industry that relies on traffic and travel times. The reason we give a 2 or 3 hour slot of arrival is to be as accurate as possible. Please allow for installation time once the installer has arrived within this time slot. Please allow 1 to 2 hours for installation. In the case that a separate speaker needs to be fitted, then this may need to be drilled, whenever possible, and when requested this speaker can sometimes be hidden out of sight. We request that any car stereos that have radio codes be available on the day for our installer. Without this it is not possible to test the car kit, or it’s power and functions. This means that if any parts are faulty, or not working, and we are unable to test them on the day that in the event of a return visit/service call this will be a chargeable service.
All other terms and conditions apply.
In extremely rare circumstances that may be out of our control we reserve the right to cancel an installation, or delivery. When circumstances out of our control dictate, we are not liable for any compensation, or loss of earnings this may create.
Our installations are generally booked Monday – Friday. In some areas we can book Saturday installations, but please be aware that our office is not open on Saturday or Sunday’s.

Installation engineers
Our customers vehicles are precious and need to be handled by experienced professionals. To ensure this we use the best self employed auto electricians in the industry, along with a mixture of our own employed engineers. We do not let trainee’s or inexperienced engineers work on our customers cars. Any issues you may have which you believe are warranty related with your car kit need to be dealt with directly with www.avrmobiles.co.uk Limited unless authorised by ourselves. Any other approach to the installer may invalidate your warranty. Any approach made by our customers direct to the installer for future work, or other services without our authorisation will invalidate your warranty and may result in legal action for loss of business. Any installation warranty issues are warrantied for lifetime by the installer. Any damage, or claims for damage regarding the installer/installation, if valid will be covered by the installers liability insurance. No claims can be made, or paid without pre agreed permission from our installer, the installers insurer’s, or www.avrmobiles.co.uk Limited. At no time are www.avrmobiles.co.uk Limited liable or responsible for the welfare of the vehicle, this is fully covered by the installer.

Location & parking
If you are in any doubt about the possible parking, then please contact our office to discuss.
Suitable parking needs to be provided for our installation engineer to work on your car. If your installation address is in the congestion charge zone, then this is chargeable and will be added to your invoice at £8 + VAT. If the installation address has a pay parking facility then all payments need to be made by the customer; the installer or www.avrmobiles.co.uk Limited are not liable for this. Whenever possible cover would be advised for poor weather conditions, this is to protect the customers car. The parking provided needs to allow for the installer to park next to the vehicle, and have enough space for both car doors to be open. The parking facility needs to be undisturbed once the installer has commenced work. Any council owned car parks, or NCP car parks run a very strict policy that does not allow us to work on their premises; no installation will take place at these locations. Due to insurance issues, and health and safety issues our installers are unable to work on roadside parking in busy areas. This is down to the installers discretion. If no parking is provided, or the parking provided is not suitable, then the installation will be cancelled, and a cancellation fee will be charged. This is down to the installers and www.avrmobiles.co.uk Limited’s discretion. No full refund is available.

Pre and post checks
Our installer will check the vehicle before, and after the installation, and may ask you to sign a completed job sheet. We advise the customer checks the vehicle with the installer before and after the installation, any faults or problems with the vehicle must be raised and discussed with the installer before he leaves site. Any claims thereafter are not liable. We are not responsible for any issues raised once the installer has left the site. The customer or an authorised nominee must attend the vehicle with the installer before the job, and once the job is complete. If the customer fails to inspect the vehicle once the job has been completed, then this invalidates any possible claims to the installer, or www.avrmobiles.co.uk Limited. If no phone is available on site for post checks, then any future warranty or call out issues will be charged as a call out, this is because we were unable to check and fix any problems at the time of installation.

Returns and exchanges
We are able to offer an exchange or refund on parts that are returned to us safely, in the original packaging, and that are pre agreed with www.avrmobiles.co.uk Limited. No refunds are possible on any delivery charges, or labour. Certain parts may be ordered in, and may be car specific, these may be subject to a surcharge if returned. Any parts for refund need to be returned to us within 7 days from the date they were delivered. If a car kit has been installed, then no labour fees can be refunded. This may include the installation, and de installation of any parts.

Where mentioned our term ‘call out fee/service call/cancellation fee’ relates to a charge of £55 + VAT, which at all times is automatically billed to your existing payment method.
