Car Radio Mute
The Sony Ericsson HCB-400 Bluetooth Hands Free Car Kit has
a Car Radio Mute feature which mutes the car radio during
a phone call. It is not a user-selectable feature, but it
is always enabled when Car Radio Mute is connected. Please
note that the Car Radio Mute option might not interface with
certain car stereos due to differing electronics.
Tele-Mute
To enable your calls to be heard through your car's stereo
speakers, you will need a tele-mute loom to be installed with
your Sony Ericsson HCB-400 Bluetooth Hands Free Car Kit. This
also mutes the car radio during a phone call. We will advise
you which type of tele-mute you require for your model of
car. Please note that the tele-mute loom may not work
with some car satellite navigation systems.
