The Nokia 616 Bluetooth Hands Free Car Kit is an easy-to use and yet versatile car communication system for all compatible existing and upcoming Nokia Mobile Phones with integrated Bluetooth wireless technology. The Nokia 616 Bluetooth Car Kit supports three operational modes depending on your mobile phone capabilities and personal preferences; each mode has slightly different functionality:

SIM Access Mode (Bluetooth SIM Access Profile)

• Phone of car kit is active and mobile phone is passive (no GSM signals)
• Accesses the SIM card of a compatible mobile phone using Bluetooth technology
• Compatible with Nokia mobile phones that support Bluetooth SIM Access Profile
• Car kit automatically activated when you turn the ignition key
• External antenna in use
• Contacts can be downloaded from your mobile phone
• Supports all Nokia 616 Car Kit call and message handling features

Handsfree Mode (Bluetooth Handsfree Profile)

• Accesses a mobile phone using Bluetooth wireless technology
• Used when the mobile phone does not support the SIM Access Profile
• Supports all major mobile phone call handling features
• Compatible with Nokia mobile phones supporting Bluetooth Handsfree Profile 1.0
• Mobile phone is active
• External GSM antenna is not in use

Car SIM Mode (Standalone car phone)

• Classic car phone approach
• SIM card always in the radio unit
• Separate SIM card (i.e. Twin card/Dual SIM or pre-paid card)
• Contacts can be downloaded from your mobile phone
• Can be used as a fall-back solution, in case you forget your mobile phone or the battery runs out
• Supports all Nokia 616 Car Kit call and message handling features

Convenient Information Management
The Nokia 616 Bluetooth Hands Free Car Kit is designed to accommodate the particular needs of the user. You can handle calls and messages using a separate display and input device installed at a convenient place in the vehicle. The large font size of the display makes the text easier to read. You can access the main phone features with a small input device that can be installed at within easy reach. Voice dialling is also simple - just press the dedicated voice key and speak the desired name.

Excellent audio quality and an external antenna connection further enhance your calling and messaging experience in the vehicle environment. And if two people share the car, both can easily access their personal user profiles including contacts, personal voice tags and specified car kit settings.

Broad Compatibility
The Nokia 616 Bluetooth Car Kit offers broader compatibility, since it supports several profiles of the Bluetooth standard. In addition to the SIM Access Profile, it supports the Bluetooth Handsfree Profile, which is standard in all Nokia mobile phones with built-in Bluetooth wireless technology.*

* Bluetooth Handsfree Profile 1.0 is not supported by the Nokia 7650.
